PIXTON
Pixton is a cartoon creation tool. Anyone
can create their own comics. Pixton allows its users to create comics Pixton brings
students together in an online classroom to learn about comics and the graphic
arts. As a teacher, you can give homework to your students. They can
create their comics via Pixton that way they develop in every respect. It builds
students' art skills, stretches their creative muscles, and helps students
think critically about sequencing, context, and story structure. It
is a free application, it is enough to start but if you want to use that
application very often, you could upgrade your membership. Also, there is
another thing called Pixton for Schools which is not free. In my opinion
free one is sufficient for students. Since using the Pixton is easy, even young
children can do it. ( In fact, they know technology better than of course, they
can do it J) Also,
when students create their comics any teacher could not say that '‘I did not
like your work’' because works that are done via Pixton do not have to be right
or true. Students create their comics according to their interests and
creativity. In brief, Pixton has many benefits for students’ critical thinking
skills.
