THE SAMR MODEL 

  Technology is a powerful tool in corporate training environments , but creating an effective blended learning strategy can be a trying task. Today I'll explain what is Samr Model and advantages of Samr Model in brief.

Dr. Ruben Puentedura has developed what he calls the SAMR model, which provides a framework to show the impact of technology on teaching and learning. His aim was '‘help teachers make  effective use of technology in their instruction’'. It is cotegorized four different degrees of classroom technology integration. The letters "SAMR" stand for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. The SAMR model was created to share a common language accross disciplines as teachers strive to help students visualize complex concepts.

  The SAMR model is essentially a planning tool that helps to design better learning activities for students.  The framework provides pedagogical insight into how technology can and should be used in the classroom.  These are some advantages of SAMR Model.

 * The SAMR model is powerful because it enables us to think about how learning can be extended through the use of technology.  

  * It helps facilitators consider multiple literacies including numeracy, media literacy, visual literacy, network literacy, global literacy, information literacy, digital citizenship, etc.

  * It allows for student choice based on their interests and or inquiry because processes are often emphasized more than content knowledge.

 * Collaboration is extremely important in The SAMR model, particularly if you’re looking at learning from a social constructivist perspective.  

 * The SAMR model ensures  that you use technology to expose students to the outside world. Since education is not limited only in a classroom, with The SAMR model we can find education in everywhere.
